451P to 452 Upgrade

May 6, 2020

Are you still hanging onto your RaySafe 451P? If so, it may be time for an upgrade. Below are 5 reasons why you should take advantage of the new technology that the RaySafe 452 Radiation Survey Meter has to offer.

DATA STORAGE – while many survey meters do not have the ability to store data, the RaySafe 452 Radiation Survey Meter can store up to 4000 measurement events, and stores dose rate data every 5 seconds.

SHIPPING – hazardous materials (pressurized ionization) used within older survey meters make it hard to easily ship, but the combination of solid-state sensors and a GM pancake in the RaySafe 452 Radiation Survey Meter removes this issue.

VERSATILITY – with older meters, users must choose between two models of measuring: Air Kerma in Röntgen, or in Sieverts. The RaySafe 452 Radiation Survey Meter full version measures in Röntgen, Gray, Rad, Rem, Sieverts, and Counts; all user-selectable.

TECHNOLOGY – the energy response of the RaySafe 452 Radiation Survey Meter is flat throughout the diagnostic and therapeutic energy range, providing an ease of use that the 451P does not offer.

COMPATIBILITY – the 451P can be connected to a PC, but the data connection source is not compatible with newer versions of Excel. The 452 can be connected to a PC with an upgraded USB cable.
